Alarm Monitoring Systems

The management of multiple tasking systems via a control point, or separate controllers with integration, is now a requirement of many clients with computers controlling their own subsystems (i.e. Access Control, CCTV, Intruder and Fire Alarms). These are then linked through via software protocols or traditional input/output links.

The advantage of this type of design is that a single failure or incident at the control point will not disable the system. Operators have to learn a wide range of system controls, and fully integrated systems bring each of the sub-systems back to a PC or network PCs. This Command Centre has the ability to either control or monitor all the other systems. Knowledge and experience of both UNIX and Windows NT operating systems is essential when running multi-tasking, multi-terminal control centres with networked computer systems.

Development of specialist integration hardware products and software, including documentation, requires both understanding and support. Where special software is required CITADEL personnel work closely to ensure that a fully written specification is understood, agreed and only then implemented.
